Specialty Medical office is looking for a full-time Front Desk/Patient Acct Rep Assistant in San Jose area. Full-time position offers paid holidays, paid time off, Medical, Dental, Vision, Term Life benefits, 401K and Pension plans.

Job Responsibilities:

Greeting patients and collecting patient shot co-pays and outstanding balances.

Maintains petty cash fund and balances cash drawer daily.

Answers telephone, screen calls, takes messages, and provides patients with information when indicated.

Verifies insurance benefits for patients starting shots and/or when patient indicates change with carrier information.

Maintain files and records in a confidential manner.

Processes, posts, and photocopies over-the-counter payments and bankcards.

Assisting Account Representative.

Performs other duties as assigned by managers and/or Executive Director.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of one-year billing/accounts receivable experience in a health care organization preferred.
