Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper and HR Assistant to join our 4th generation family owned iris farm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of our accounting functions including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, financial reporting, and must be proficient in quickbooks online. The full-time position will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, preparing budget, as well as managing payroll and employee files.

Responsibilities

Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
Maintain the general ledger by recording all transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
Prepare weekly and monthly financial statements and reports
Manage and submit payroll for employees, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of cash balances.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts as needed.
Utilize Quickbooks accounting software for efficient record keeping and reporting.
Utilize several other software in conjunction with quickbooks.
Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits to provide necessary documentation.
Complete requested monthly, quarterly and annual audits. This includes but is not limited to Farm Surveys, Worker’s Comp, Liability Audits, etc.
Manage employee files and oversee hiring.
Manage all payroll processes including, managing deductions, 401K contributions, paid time off, and submission of payroll.
During our bloom season event in the month of may, be responsible for making cash banks and counting event cash and preparing deposits multiple days a week.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role in accounting or finance.
Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and practices in accounting.
Proficiency in financial report writing with the ability to present data clearly and concisely.
2 years experience with Quickbooks online is required.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data effectively.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred but not required.
Experience managing employee files required.
3 years experience managing payroll required
Ability to work on-site 4 days per week and 8 hours per day.
Must be proficient is Excel. This includes Pivot Tables and V Look up.

This is an on-site position

4-5 days a week in the office depending on the season, 32-40 hours per week

Weekdays only through most of the year. (Weekend work only required during the month of May when our Bloom Season Event is happening.)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 – $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
