Group Finance Manager Jobs in Greater Kuala Lumpur at Pickle Social Club

Title: Group Finance Manager

Company: Pickle Social Club

Location: Greater Kuala Lumpur

WFH Group | Kuala Lumpur | On-site

The Opportunity

This is a critical leadership role designed for a disciplined operator who loves running a tight ship. Your primary mission is to own day-to-day financial operations across all entities under WFH Group (including TRIBE, Pickle Social Club, The Courts KLGCC, NOA All Day Dining, and Sync Social Club), leading our finance team to ensure absolute promptness, zero processing delays, and bulletproof internal controls.

About WFH Group

At WFH Group, we're redefining the future of wellness, fitness, and sports through a collective of bold, experience-driven brands. Our brands are built around the power of community, movement, and meaningful experiences. As we scale our physical footprint, we need an operational backbone that ensures every vendor is paid on time, every account is reconciled promptly, and our financial health is tightly guarded.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Group CEO / Chief of Staff, you will manage our day-to-day transactional finance and administration team. You are the operational engine of the finance department – someone who thrives on strict deadlines, eliminates manual bottlenecks, and ensures that daily operations run perfectly without needing constant escalation or oversight.

This is an executor-first role. You'll own the operational core of finance across all our entities: daily accounting, the monthly close, payments, payroll, cash flow, compliance, and controls. You'll also lead the finance team that keeps it all running, holding the function to deadlines and standards. Strategic insight matters and you'll grow into more of it over time – but the heart of this seat is dependable, prompt, accurate execution. You'll work closely with the founder and senior operations, and partner across Operations, HR, Legal, and our Brand Heads to keep cash discipline tight and the numbers clean.

1. Day-to-Day Finance Operations

  • Own daily accounting across all entities – AR/AP, GL, bank reconciliations, journals
  • Keep transactions posted promptly and nothing left aged or unreconciled
  • Maintain general ledger integrity, intercompany eliminations, and the fixed assets register

2. Monthly Close & Reporting

  • Deliver the monthly close on time, every month
  • Prepare entity and consolidated management accounts, variance analysis, cash flow, and working-capital reports
  • Give leadership decision-ready numbers, not just statements

3. Payments, Payroll & Cash

  • Validate invoices and schedule timely vendor disbursements
  • Oversee multi-entity payments, including cross-border/India payments and statutory remittances
  • Run payroll oversight (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB) and enforce the employee expense-claims policy
  • Maintain a 13-week rolling cash forecast and daily liquidity monitoring

4. Compliance, Tax & Audit

  • Coordinate corporate tax, SST, and statutory / Companies Act filings, including India entity compliance
  • Lead external and internal audit requests and resolve findings cleanly
  • Keep the books accurate, controlled, and ready for scrutiny as the group scales

5. Controls & Process

  • Own finance SOPs – approvals matrix, segregation of duties, document retention
  • Drive automation (bank feeds, OCR, expense tools) to cut manual work and reduce errors
  • Tighten the workflow so the close gets faster and cleaner as we grow

6. Team Leadership

  • Supervise, coach, and develop the finance team (executives/assistants)
  • Manage workload and cross-train so business-critical tasks are never single-threaded
  • Keep the function dependable, accurate, and on time

7. Planning & Commercial Insight (Secondary)

  • Build and maintain annual budgets and track budget-vs-actual across the brands
  • Produce working-capital and cash projections to support planning decisions
  • Develop light commercial models – unit economics, margins, and cost analysis by brand/outlet – to help brand leads run tighter
  • Support fundraising readiness: keep numbers clean and diligence-ready, and help assemble the data room when the time comes

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 4–7 years in end-to-end Finance Operations, Accounting, or HR/Admin Management. Experience in multi-outlet retail, fast paced startups, hospitality, F&B is a bonus
  • The "Executor" Mindset: You are highly organized, process-driven, and slightly obsessed with hitting deadlines. You prefer checking off daily execution lists to abstract long-term planning.
  • People Management Skills: Proven experience managing, coaching, and holding a small team of finance executives accountable to strict operational KPIs.
  • Systems Discipline: You don't tolerate data delays or messy books. You are comfortable enforcing internal SOPs and a Finance Authority Matrix.
  • Local Compliance Expert: Solid knowledge of Malaysian statutory requirements, corporate tax computations, and local corporate governance.
