What your typical day will look like:

As an HR Advisor at Dentsu, you’ll play a key role in bringing our people initiatives to life, supporting the HR Business Partner in driving impactful programs and fostering strong stakeholder engagement across the business. You’ll work across a broad range of HR functions including employee relations, learning and development, talent management, rewards, and recruitment.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Partner with HR Business Partners and line managers: Provide day-to-day advisory support, ensuring consistent application of HR policies and effective resolution of employee relations and people-related matters.
  • Manage HRDC training fund administration: Work closely with employees, leadership teams, and People Services to ensure HRDC-claimable trainings are submitted in a timely manner. Manage related queries, documentation, and follow-ups required by HRDC to support successful claim approval.
  • Support expat management and immigration-related matters: Partner with employees, candidates, the wider HR community, vendors, and Malaysian government immigration authorities to ensure new applications and renewals are completed accurately, properly, and within required timelines.
  • Act as the Workday champion: Serve as the key point of contact for Workday-related support, helping to drive system adoption, data accuracy, and process efficiency across HR activities. Training and guidance will be provided to build confidence and capability in this area.
  • Support employee relations and managerial capability: Assist managers in handling employee issues, building people management skills, and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Maintain data integrity and reporting: Ensure accuracy of HR data in Workday, prepare analytics and reports, and provide insights to support informed decision-making by HRBPs and leadership.
  • Drive HR initiatives and change management: Collaborate with HRBPs to implement HR programs, communications, and change activities that enhance engagement, alignment, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Manage HR processes and operations: Oversee daily HR activities including performance management, career development, employee engagement, and workforce initiatives, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

A bit about you:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in HR generalist, HR operations, or business partnering roles, with a strong grasp of end-to-end HR processes.
  • Proven experience in using Workday in managing data, generating insights, and supporting process improvements.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills, with the ability to partner effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Organized, analytical, and proactive — able to work independently while driving efficiency and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
