HR and Accounts Executive / Administrator

Overview:

The HR and Accounts Executive is a dual-function position responsible for managing both human resources activities and essential financial operations, ensuring smooth administrative and financial compliance within the organisation. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Payroll Administration: Process end-to-end payroll operations, including salary disbursements, benefits administration, leave tracking, and managing statutory contributions (e.g. taxes, social security, retirement funds).

·        Accounting and Bookkeeping: Manage daily financial operations, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), processing invoices and payments, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.

·        Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, such as balance sheets and profit and loss statements, and support budgeting and audit processes.

·        Recruitment and Onboarding: Support the full recruitment lifecycle, including creating job descriptions, posting job ads, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and coordinating the orientation and onboarding process for new hires.

·        Employee Relations and Compliance: Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, manage employee records and documentation, and ensure compliance with relevant labour laws and HR policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

·        Education: A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or a related business field is typically required.

·        Experience: Practical experience in either HR management or accounting functions (or ideally both) is necessary.

·        Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, SAP), HRIS systems, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).

Soft Skills:

·        Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·        Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

·        The ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively.
