We have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Business Partner. This hybrid role can be performed from one of our offices in Little Rock, Fort Smith, or Fayetteville, AR, or Lawton, OK.

POSITION SUMMARY

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic and influential advisor, aligning business operations with HR policies, practices, and objectives. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of HR functions, business strategy, and the ability to provide data-driven, dynamic HR solutions. Using HR expertise, data analysis, and organizational agility, the HRBP delivers consulting and coaching to assigned departments in support of the company’s mission, vision, values, and goals. The ideal candidate is service-oriented, proactive, and capable of building strong partnerships across the organization.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage and resolve complex employee relations matters, including conducting thorough, objective investigations and recommending appropriate actions.
Proactively partner with assigned business units, providing creative, strategic HR support to facilitate business objectives.
Apply full-cycle HR knowledge to develop integrated, thoughtful solutions across the employee lifecycle.
Deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment, identifying problems and driving effective solutions.
Exercise sound judgment and discretion in decision-making, ensuring alignment with established HR models and business needs.
Balance implementing HR functional initiatives with maintaining employee engagement and a positive organizational culture.
Collaborate with Learning & Development to design and deliver relevant training programs.
Communicate clearly and effectively—both verbally and in writing—with all levels of leadership, and ensure HR practices comply with federal, state, and local laws, as well as internal policies.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a client-facing HR Business Partner role required.
Experience supporting a mix of corporate and field-based (industrial) teams is preferred. Labor relations experience is desirable, however, a strong interest in developing expertise in this area is essential.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

Deep understanding of key HR functional areas, including compliance, employment law, employee relations, talent development, compensation, benefits, diversity and inclusion, and performance management.
Expertise in HRBP responsibilities, including talent management, strategy alignment, recruiting, position management, collaboration, and data analytics.
Skilled in conflict resolution, mediation, and facilitating effective meetings.
Ability to conduct thorough investigations and document findings (e.g., EEOC, discrimination, harassment cases).
Proactive problem-solver with the ability to anticipate outcomes and plan accordingly.
Agile, self-directed professional capable of managing competing priorities effectively.
Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to establish trust and credibility as a business partner.
Discerning communicator who exercises sound judgment regarding sensitive information.
Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with strong active listening abilities.
