THE ROLE

The HR Generalist assists in the development and implementation of company goals and priorities relating to financial management, accounting, purchasing, and/or payroll in compliance with State and Federal law, and Legends policies and procedures. The HR Generalist will perform all aspects of Human Resource Operations, as well as administration and maintenance of all Facility Benefit Programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide day-to-day HR support to all Food & Beverage department employees, addressing questions related to policies, procedures, and employee programs
Assist with recruitment and onboarding for F&B roles, including job postings, candidate coordination, background checks, and new hire orientations
Support F&B managers with employee relations by documenting incidents, conducting initial investigations, and escalating as needed
Maintain and update employee records, timekeeping systems, and attendance logs for hourly and salaried staff
Coordinate training and compliance efforts, ensuring F&B staff complete required certifications (e.g., food safety, alcohol service)
Participate in performance review processes by preparing evaluation templates, tracking deadlines, and supporting F&B leadership in feedback delivery
Help manage workplace safety initiatives, including incident reporting, follow-up, and monthly safety meetings for the F&B team
Assist with payroll accuracy by reviewing timecards, tip sheets, and schedule discrepancies in collaboration with F&B managers
Promote positive employee engagement by supporting HR communications, recognition programs, and F&B staff events
Stay current on HR trends, hospitality labor laws, and company policies to ensure compliance and best practices

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field required
3+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably within the food & beverage, hospitality, or events industry
Experience supporting high-volume, hourly workforce environments and collaborating directly with operations teams.

Skills and Abilities

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust across diverse F&B teams
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Solid understanding of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance standards
Proficient in HRIS systems, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

COMPENSATION

Competitive salary range of $60,000 – $65,000 commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.
