BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
Assist the Human Resources Director with a wide range of personnel and related projects, duties, and functions usually associated with the field of Human Resources Management, but within rules, regulations, and guidelines established by Federal, State, County, and local governments. Have knowledge of County Personnel Policy and all county and departmental policies pertinent to the position. Consult with HR Director, making practical recommendations and taking required action on approved projects and programs. This position requires proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook,), Adobe Acrobat, Google Meets, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and HRIS/talent management systems in order to carry out the responsibilities of this position which includes, but not limited to, maintaining and creating job postings on various job boards online, collaborates with advertising agencies, participates in job fairs, and promotional campaigns to fill vacant positions, must be able to use of multiple forms of communication including current technology to communicate with applicants and employees, generating and maintain tracking reports, conducting full cycle recruitment which consist of planning, screening, interviewing, selecting, hiring, and onboarding processes, maintaining employee personnel files, conducting benefits orientation. Must maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding employee information including strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and other relevant privacy regulations regarding employee health information. Must be organized. Must be able to multi-task. Must possess excellent customer service skills. Must be able to build and maintain strong professional relationships with the Department Heads and Elected Official. Must possess excellent communication and customer service skills. Must maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions with all county employees. Must perform well in a fast pace environment. Must be able to exercise independent judgment and must perform all duties with minimal supervision. Employee may be required to work irregular hours, overtime, attend job-related meetings, in and out of state, and perform all other duties as assigned.
