Objective/Scope

The Human Resource Manager is part of the Administration team that supports Abax Health. This role is responsible for ensuring the effective management of HR functions within the Abax organization. The HR Manager role requires a blend of interpersonal skills, knowledge of employment law, training and employee development as well as compensation, HR policy, employee engagement capabilities, with keen insight and the ability to collaborate and communicate with all other areas of the organization. This role will partner with other key team members to fulfill HR recruiting, onboarding, benefits and payroll functions.

Job Functions

Ensure job descriptions are up to date compliant with all local, state and federal regulations.
Onboard new hires insuring I-9 documentation is completed on a timely basis.
Partner with management to ensure HR goals are aligned with business initiatives.
Assist in creating a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration, and teamwork.
Create and maintain communication pieces to foster effective verbal and written communications across the Abax organization.
Implement and manage performance appraisal systems to encourage employee growth and accountability
Coach and support managers in providing constructive feedback.
Oversee salary structure set up and career mapping ensuring compliance with relevant compensation laws and regulations.
Establish a review cycle for maintaining / updating HR policies as necessary.
Serve as point of contact for employee concerns, resolving issues fairly and in compliance with company policy and employment law.
Promote a positive work environment by addressing employee grievances and maintaining open communication.
Reviews and partners with legal on any organizational changes and severances.

Collaborative Areas

Assists in the staffing process as a team player for recruiting and onboarding.
Assists with communication in the payroll and benefits process as a team player
Assists with identifying employee training needs and coordinating learning and development initiatives with other areas of the organization.
Develop and monitor career development programs and ensure they align with company objectives.
Assists and provides input in analyzing trends in benefits as it pertains to the larger area of rewards and recognition.
Assist in planning and coordinating activities to promote a positive workplace culture and increase employee engagement.

Supervisory Requirements

Education and Experience

5+ years as a Human Resource Manager
Bachelor’s degree in Human resources
Proven verbal and written communication skills.
A passion for Human Resources
Ability to handle confidential information and build positive relationships at all levels of the organization.
Enthusiastic learner and able to prioritize tasks
Proficiency with MS Office Suite

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

Must be able to sit for much of the workday with periodic walking and standing.
Must be able to work in an office environment.
Some travel may be required to client sites.
