Position Overview

We’re hiring an experienced HR Office Administrator to manage weekly payroll processing, HR functions, and daily office tasks. This role is vital to supporting both field and office teams in a fast-paced construction environment. The ideal candidate is highly tech-savvy, comfortable learning and using new software and systems, with strong payroll experience—especially with hourly and salaried employees—and construction industry knowledge.

Responsibilities

Process weekly payroll for field and office employees accurately and on time
Prepare and submit certified payroll reports for prevailing wage projects
Track employee hours, job codes, and payroll records while maintaining accurate PTO
Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee payroll questions professionally
Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and maintaining personnel files
Support compliance with HR regulations (I-9, OSHA, EEO, etc.)
Manage office supplies, communications, and general administrative tasks
Manage, organize, and track company resources such as equipment, tools, and technology assignments
Collaborate with accounting on job costing and payroll reconciliation

Requirements

Minimum 3 years payroll and HR or office admin experience (construction industry preferred)
Experience using QuickBooks Payroll is required
Excellent technology skills; proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and quick to learn new digital tools
Knowledge of certified payroll, prevailing wage laws, and job costing
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
