Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources (HR) Specialist to join our dynamic team. The HR Specialist will play a critical role in supporting and executing key HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of HR policies, and the ability to provide exceptional support to both employees and management.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Onboarding:
Manage end-to-end recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, interviewing candidates, and conducting background checks.
Coordinate and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition and compliance with company policies.
Employee Relations:
Serve as a primary point of contact for employees’ HR-related questions and concerns.
Support conflict resolution and maintain a positive work environment through proactive communication and problem-solving.
Assist in conducting investigations into workplace complaints or concerns, ensuring proper documentation and fair treatment.
Performance Management:
Assist in the development and implementation of performance management processes, including performance reviews, feedback sessions, and goal setting.
Support managers in addressing employee performance issues and developing improvement plans.
Compensation & Benefits Administration:
Administer employee benefits programs (health, dental, retirement, etc.) and assist employees with benefits-related inquiries.
Ensure payroll data accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Training & Development:
Assist in identifying training needs and help coordinate training sessions or workshops.
Support career development programs and initiatives to improve employee engagement and retention.
Compliance & Record-Keeping:
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring confidentiality and data security.
Assist with audits and HR reporting as required.
HR Projects & Initiatives:
Contribute to ongoing HR initiatives, such as diversity and inclusion programs, employee wellness initiatives, or company-wide culture-building efforts.
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, HR trends, and regulatory changes to ensure continuous improvement in HR practices.

Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
2+ years of experience in human resources or a related field.
Experience with HR software and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
Experience with HRIS systems and payroll software.
Previous experience in a fast-paced or growing company is a plus.

Pay: $20.00 – $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

4 hour shift
8 hour shift
Monday to Friday
Weekends as needed
