Responsibilities
Perform A&L processes related to time entry, leave, and payroll. Resolves pay and leave disparities in OMNI by monitoring Service Center cases, queries, and/or working with department representatives. Works closely with the ERP and HR to streamline processes and procedures related to T&L module in OMNI.
Responsible for general attendance & leave policy interpretation and administration. Serves as the Leave of Absence Administrator by monitoring requests and working with department representatives. Additionally, this position is the central administrator for military leave and ensures compliance with USSERA and applicable state laws.
Designs, develops, conducts, and maintains training programs related to Attendance & Leave to ensure compliance with University, State, and Federal rules and regulations, and policies and procedures. Training platforms include face-to-face, remote technology, job aids, and other written communications.
Serves as the official Sick Leave Pool Administrator for the University. This involves communication with the University Sick Leave Pool committee, administration of open enrollment, processing of membership, and requests for pool hours applications.
Perform leave usage monitoring. Identifying excessive continuous usage of leave.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in human resources or a related field or a high school diploma/equivalency and six years of the same experience. (Note: post high-school education and/or experience may substitute at a comparable rate.)
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of or ability to learn and apply the federal regulations for Wage & Hour Compliance that govern attendance and leave.
Excellent customer service and organizational skills, and effective verbal and written communication.
Proficiency in computer operations, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Experience working accurately with detailed information in a deadline-driven environment.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and work in a team-oriented environment.
Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and practices.

The ideal candidate should have knowledge of Wage and Hour regulations and payroll experience. Additionally, the individual should be detail-oriented, have excellent communication and customer service skills, and have previous experience training employees.
What is a typical day in this position?
The work for this position involves communication with university stakeholders regarding attendance and leave policies, sick leave pool, and leave of absence. This position will administer leave of absence and sick leave pool requests by evaluating eligibility and communicating with appropriate university personnel. This position will also review run reports to ensure timesheet reporting compliance and assist with payroll processes.
What to expect in the first 60 – 90 days:
The first few weeks will be spent getting up to speed on policies and procedures, gaining familiarity with our human resources information systems, and learning time and labor processes. You will also begin learning about the University’s organizational structure and networking with representatives in our departments.

Anticipated Salary Range
Anticipated starting salary in the low $40,000’s, commensurate with experience.
