The Iowa Department of Revenue is seeking a temporary administrative assistant to work in the Human Resources Bureau.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Sort, organize, scan and upload employee personnel files into Paper Vision

Assist HR staff in miscellaneous administrative duties

Perform additional related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to operate general office equipment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs at times

Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality with regard to protected personal data, medical data, wage information, and employment history

This is a Monday through Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM shift onsite at the Hoover Building. Flexibility of 30 – 40 hours a week.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Administrative work experience

2+ years of administrative assistant experience or human resources experience preferred

Additional Requirements:

Must pass a criminal background check

Must pass FBI Fingerprinting

Be in compliance with Iowa tax filing requirements

Willing to participate in the E-verify process
