We are currently seeking a Human Resource Generalist that will be responsible for the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Role and Responsibilities:

Develop organizational strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues.
Implements human resources strategies by establishing department accountabilities, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, and compensation.
Reports human resources operations financials by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating requirements including, but not limited to, KPI’s and grants.
Plan and execute HR functions, such as compensation and benefits, performance management, training and development, occupational safety, employee communications, employee experience and employee relations.
Accomplishes special project results by identifying and clarifying issues and priorities.
Supports management by providing human resources advice and counsel.
Manage the Workers’ Compensation program: investigate all injuries, first aid and near misses, and work with plant management to reduce all three.
Process FMLA requests and all LOA requests.
Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
Updates job knowledge by participating in conferences and educational opportunities.
Observe & follow all safety policies and procedures in compliance with the organizational rules, while seeking continuous improvement. Responsible for his/her safety as well as that of his/her colleagues.
Actively supports all activities, i.e. failure analysis etc.
Familiarity with ISO standards and requirements.
Exercises independent judgment as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in human resources. SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
Minimum of two years’ experience in human resources.
A strong work ethic.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with presentation skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
Must be a self-starter, able to handle multiple tasks and maintain priorities and organization with minimal supervision.
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
Ability to maintain confidential records.
Maintain a strong sense of teamwork.
