Qualifications & Education:
Full-Cycle Recruitment: Oversee recruitment from job posting to hiring, including resume screening, interviews, and job offers for casino positions.
Job Posting and Sourcing: Create and post job ads on relevant platforms, leveraging various sourcing techniques to attract diverse candidates.
Candidate Screening: Conduct initial screenings and interviews to assess qualifications and fit with organizational values.
Maintain relationships with candidates, recruitment agencies, and represent the casino at job fairs and networking events.
Facilitate new hire orientation and integration, ensuring clarity on policies and expectations.
Address HR inquiries and workplace issues, providing guidance and resolving employee relations matters.
Compliance and Documentation:
Maintain accurate and confidential HR records, ensuring up-to-date documentation.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure recruitment and HR processes comply with all labor laws and regulations, especially those specific to casino operations.
Employee Engagement: Implement engagement activities, recognition programs, and feedback mechanisms to boost workplace culture and morale.
Metrics and Reporting: Track recruitment metrics and prepare reports for management. Identify and implement process improvements.
Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with HR team members, department managers, and casino staff to support organizational goals.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with recruitment agencies and service providers, evaluating and recommending improvements.
As required perform additional duties as assigned by the HR Manager or Director to support business goals and objectives.
Qualifications & Education:
High School diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred; bachelor’s degree in HR, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field highly desirable. HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) are a plus.
Minimum of 3 years in HR or recruitment, preferably in casino gaming or hospitality.
Strong understanding of recruitment processes, HR best practices, and employment laws.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Proficiency in UKG ATS and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to handle confidential information, work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Knowledge of tribal laws, ordinance and EEO including casino gaming operations is preferred. Must pass background checks and obtain a Mohican Nation Gaming License.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Work Conditions:
Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and use hands.
Occasional lifting and moving of up to twenty (20) pounds.
Work in an office and casino setting with occasional exposure to high level casino noise.
Evening and weekend work may be required and as needed.
Travel may be necessary for training and meetings.
Maintaining excellent personal hygiene is required.
In accordance with the Gaming Ordinance, all non-gaming employees whose annual income reaches $50,000 or more will be required to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
