Overview
The HR & Benefits Administrator is responsible for supporting the Wisconsin Latino Chamber of Commerce’s Human Resources functions, including benefits administration, recruitment and onboarding of new employees, employment verification, compensation, employee relations, policy development, and performance management. This role supports the infrastructure and operational needs of the Chamber.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Benefits Administration: Administer all employee benefits for Chamber staff, including the annual benefits enrollment process, healthcare changes, healthcare related claims, insurance verification letters, leave of absence, paid time off, and retirement benefits.

2. Recruitment and Onboarding: Lead the recruitment process for all positions, including managing the entire talent acquisition process (developing job descriptions, posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting interviews) and leading the onboarding process for all new employees. Ensure new employees sign Non-Disclosure Agreements and have employment contracts on file.

3. Employment Verification: Lead the employment verification process for all current and new employees, ensuring background checks are conducted, reference checks are completed, education verification, and I-9s are on file for all employees. Maintain accurate employee records and documentation.

4. Compensation: In partnership with the Director of Finance, ensure that staff compensation is equitable and aligned with job responsibilities. Conduct salary benchmarking, pay structure development, executive and variable compensation, and decision support regarding performance and merit increases.

5. Policy Development: Ensure HR policies and practices are developed, understood, and followed by all staff and stakeholders. Create and propose new policies related to benefits, compensation, employment, recruitment, employee relations, and performance management where needed. Present policies to the Board of Directors for final approval and adoption. Ensure HR policies and procedures comply with federal and state labor laws and company regulations.

6. Employee Relations: Support leaders to address employee relations questions and concerns, including corrective action and performance improvement plans, counseling, terminations and separation letters/agreements, staff conflict resolution, workplace investigations,

7. Performance Management: Lead the performance management process ensuring all staff and leaders have annual goals, trial period reviews, and regular check-ins. Work with leaders to assess talent and create succession and development plans.

8. HR Systems Management: Maintain and update Gusto (Human Resources Information System)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
