Job Summary
The HR Coordinator will perform duties at the professional level in all of the following functional areas: payroll, benefits administration and management, on-boarding, and employee relations. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of multi-tasking and relating to individuals at all levels within the organization
Key Responsibilities
Maintain all employee and applicant documentation and employee records
Ensure compliance with I-9 employment eligibility verification and periodically audits Forms I-9.
Maintain employee personnel files and proper record keeping
Assist with policy development and documentation
Maintain current health benefits program
Monitor employee eligibility for benefits plans.
Review benefits with employees and processes and assist with enrollments.
Organize and assist with annual open enrollment communications and election process.
Report, maintain, and monitor time and attendance for employees
Monitor, adjust and submit weekly payroll for all employees
Process payroll reports for agencies
Qualifications
Education
Minimum Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred: HR Certification or Bachelor’s Degree.
Experience
Minimum Required: 2+ years’ HR experience
Preferred: HRIS experience
Automotive manufacturing experience or related field
Basic knowledge of all HR disciplines including performance management, recruitment, employee relations, learning and development, talent management, compensation, Health and Safety, etc.
Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and e-mail
Preferred: Strong administrative skills and high attention to detail.
Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
Excellent time and project management skills.
Working Conditions
The following working conditions are present or expected on a daily basis:
Mostly office environment
Limited exposure to vehicles, robotics, production equipment
Minimal exposure to outdoor elements
