GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Corporate Hospitality Services is seeking an HR Generalist to act as the primary point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and support. This role will provide both administrative and strategic coordination of HR functions for a designated business unit, partnering closely with onsite leadership to ensure compliance, effective communication, and a positive workplace culture.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Employee Relations: Serve as the initial point of contact for employee issue resolution and investigations, partnering with the People Team and onsite senior leadership to boost positive workplace culture and enhance communication. Guide managers through people-related issues, providing training, coaching, and counseling.
Compliance and Record Keeping: Ensure adherence to guidelines and regulations by conducting periodic audits and maintaining accurate HR records and documentation. Stay informed on federal, state, and local employment laws.
Employee Retention and Offboarding: Collaborate with site management on employee retention initiatives and conduct exit interviews for voluntary separations. Represent HR during involuntary separation meetings.
Performance Management: Maintain employee attendance records, administer disciplinary actions, and ensure timely communication and documentation of disciplinary issues.
Payroll and Timekeeping: Accurately and promptly complete time entry and payroll processing, addressing any payroll inquiries or concerns.
Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe work environment by supporting and recording safety initiatives. Manage OSHA reporting to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the Dallas facility, including assistance with employee relations matters. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Operations and other stakeholders to support the delivery of compliance programs and employee training.
Accurately document all interactions in the case management and/or leave management systems, while handling sensitive employee information and reports with discretion and confidentiality.
SKILLS
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
EXPERIENCE
2–4 years of general HR administration experience (required)
1 Year of Experience with ADP Workforce Now a must
Strong knowledge of employment law, compensation, employee relations, and HR compliance
Bilingual: Spanish English skills preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
High level of confidentiality and professionalism
HR certification or relevant education is preferred
Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
