Position Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist will serve as the on-site HR presence at providing hands-on support to employees and managers while aligning local activities with corporate HR strategy and compliance standards. This role is pivotal in maintaining a productive and compliant work environment, with a strong focus on employee relations, policy enforcement, and investigations. The HR Generalist will report directly to the Corporate HR team and serve as the primary liaison between the division and corporate HR leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the first point of contact for all HR-related inquiries at the division level.
Conduct orientation and onboarding for new hires
Full cycle recruitment for open positions at the division level
Provide HR guidance and support to managers and employees on policies, procedures, and best practices.
Conduct thorough, objective internal investigations related to employee complaints, misconduct, policy violations, and other workplace concerns, in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
Collaborate with corporate HR and Legal on investigation findings and resolution recommendations.
Ensure consistent and fair application of HR policies and procedures.
Support corporate HR in developing and delivering training related to compliance, harassment prevention, and employee relations at the division level.
Administer and support performance management, corrective action processes, and employee development plans.
Partner with division leadership to address workforce planning, talent acquisition, onboarding, and retention initiatives.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation.
Assist with the rollout of corporate HR programs, surveys, and communications at the local level.
Monitor and report on local HR metrics, including turnover, absenteeism, and employee relations activity, to Corporate HR.
Participate in periodic audits and compliance reviews in collaboration with corporate stakeholders.
Support diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts at the division level in alignment with corporate goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.
3–5 years of progressive HR experience, including direct experience with employee relations and conducting investigations.
Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust across all levels of the organization.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Willingness to be physically present at the division site full-time, with regular travel to division locations and corporate offices as needed.
Work Environment:
This position is based full-time at the division location and will require a high level of autonomy and professionalism. The HR Generalist will maintain a close working relationship with both on-site leadership and the corporate HR team to ensure alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards.
