Human Resources Generalist – Clinical Talent Strategies Jobs in Pittsburgh, PA at UPMC
We’re searching for a Human Resources Generalist to join our UPMC Clinical Talent Strategies team! This is a regular, full-time position that primarily works daylight hours, Monday through Friday. A perk of this position includes very flexible/remote work arrangements!
In this role, the Human Resources Generalist will have the opportunity to focus on talent acquisition, employee relations and HR project work. Daily job responsibilities may include developing and maintaining clinical career ladders, connecting with internal employees on internal mobility requests, and diving into data to develop executive level content and solutions proposals.

Responsibilities:
Continuously assist with development and implementation of internal mobility strategies in support of our goal to identify top internal talent, as well as support local retention initiatives.
Provide career coaching and counseling to internal staff who are interested in advancing their careers.
Keep abreast of changes and goals within the nursing organization (Magnet initiatives, fellowships, My Nursing Career, etc.), and other health services areas
Partner with Compensation team to develop, modify, and roll out career ladder offerings for nursing and related clinical fields
Work closely with Talent Acquisition teams systemwide to identify openings that may be a fit for internal talent
Effectively builds relationships and communicates with key stakeholders, including local human resources teams
Supports the development and execution of processes that uphold strategic plans, including any applicable data reporting and analyses.
As needed, may represent UPMC at internal functions (i.e., job fairs, UPMC HS sponsored events, etc.), provide the public with information about UPMC and career opportunities.
Participate on local and/or organization wide committees that focus on projects that move the organization forward and towards meeting its strategic goals.
Effectively communicate expectations with business, operational, and HR partners while promoting a One Team collaborative atmosphere in which all functions of HR work together as one team.
In support of HR team and organizational business needs, utilize HR metrics to develop and implement initiatives that positively impact the organization and the employee experience.
Drive and champion inclusion efforts and cultural improvement initiatives within the customer base.
Under the direction of the HR Leader, provide HR consulting services by partnering with business, operational, and HR leaders of the organization to recommend solutions on employee relations, policy and procedures, engagement and retention, employee safety, and cultural improvements.
High School Diploma/GED and two years of experience in human resources operations actively handling employee relations
OR Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business or related field required with a preference of one year of human resources operations actively handling employee relations
OR Masters degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
OR successful completion of the UPMC Summer Associates Program/Pittsburgh Fellows Program required.
PHR, SPHR certification, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP certification or UPMC HCI Strategic HR Business Partner Certification preferred.
UPMC Human Resources experience is preferred.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products required.
