Position Summary:
The Human Resources Organizational Development Specialist plays a pivotal role for Gaylord in optimizing HR operational workflows and ensuring seamless execution of the employee life cycle, including Attraction, Recruitment, Onboarding, Engagement/Retention, Development, and Offboarding. This position is responsible for driving process efficiency, maintaining compliance, and leveraging HR systems to support organizational objectives and effectiveness. The role also collaborates cross-functionally to enhance HR service delivery and operational excellence.
Key Operational Responsibilities:
Operational Compliance Management
Policy Administration: Implement and monitor HR policies, procedures, and programs to guarantee operational compliance with federal, state, and hospital regulations. Act as a primary resource for employee inquiries, ensuring consistent application of HR policies.
Audit & Risk Mitigation: Own internal HR compliance by conducting regular audits of labor laws and hospital policies. Identify gaps, recommend operational updates, and execute corrective actions to minimize risk.
Systems & Process Optimization
Talent Acquisition Operations: Streamline and support end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes—including job postings, candidate screening, offer management, orientation, and post-NEO integration—to ensure operational efficiency and a positive candidate experience.
HRIS Administration (UKG): Maintain data integrity within the HRIS through systematic audits and reporting. Leverage analytics to inform decision-making and improve HR process outcomes.
Performance Management Systems: Execute and monitor the performance management cycle, ensuring timely completion of evaluations and providing operational support to managers on best practices and process adherence.
Organizational & Talent Development Operations
Training Program Implementation: Partner with the Center of Education to operationalize non-clinical training programs, focusing on scalable delivery, employee engagement, and leadership development.
Career Pathing & Succession Planning: Facilitate talent review processes and coordinate follow-up actions, including succession planning, development plans for high-potential employees, and performance improvement plans for underperformers.
Leadership Development Tracking: Manage and report on leadership development initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and tracking progress of identified high-potential employees.
Employee Life Cycle Process Management
Engagement & Retention Initiatives: Design and implement operational strategies for employee engagement, including focus groups, stay interviews, and diversity and inclusion programs. Measure and report on retention and recruitment effectiveness.
HR Project Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the HR team on projects and initiatives that drive continuous improvement in people, processes, and policy.
Cross-Departmental Partnership: Serve as an operational liaison between HR and other departments to ensure consistent, high-quality HR service delivery and process alignment across Gaylord.

Qualifications:
5-7 years of experience in human resources operations, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Strong knowledge of HR principles, performance management, organizational development, employee lifecycle, labor laws, and best practices.
Experience with HRIS systems (UKG experience is a plus).
A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is required. HR Certification is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
