Position: Paid Intern (Multiple Divisions and Locations)

SALARY: The hourly rate for this position is $20.00.
Internship hours: Interns are generally required to work 10 hours per week and are limited to a maximum of 35 hours per week, not to exceed 944 hours in a fiscal year.

Travel within the tri-county vicinage may be required.
Vicinage 15 Cumberland, Gloucester, Salem Counties is accepting applications for paid internship opportunities for Summer 2026 and may continue into Fall 2026. The interns will perform a variety of clerical, administrative, supportive tasks and customer service duties in connection with proceedings instituted before the Court. Interns may also assist with tasks such as, but not limited to, data entry, look‑ups, filing, and making photocopies.
The interns will gain abroad insight and knowledge of the court system. Flexible schedules are available. The selected candidates will treat all personnel, clients, and members of the public with dignity, courtesy, and respect.

- Regular and predictable physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position (Remote work is NOT available to interns)
- Prepare filings for judge and staff review, including document retrieval, and providing documents to chambers
- Assist with answering phones, returning phone calls, and receiving and distributing voicemails
- Assist with client contact for newly assigned cases and reminders
- Follow up with treatment providers and defendants
- Contact and follow-up with applicants, defendants, court users, and/or members of the public
- Organize and scan paper files/filings by parties and upload scans into an electronic filing system
- Observe client interviews and court proceedings
Thirty (30) credit hours from an accredited college or university and currently pursuing a degree.
For Probation and Pre‑Trial Services, thirty (30) credit hours from an accredited college or university, and currently pursuing a degree or certificate in the Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a related field.
