We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Microsoft 365 Administrator to join our Managed Services Provider (MSP) team. This role is ideal for candidates who have a foundational understanding of Microsoft 365 administration, cloud security, and Microsoft Azure and are looking to further develop their technical skills in a professional IT services environment.
The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day administration and support of client Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, troubleshoot technical issues, respond to support tickets, and work closely with senior engineers to resolve more complex problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the administration and support of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive.
- Create and manage user accounts, groups, licenses, mailboxes, and permissions within Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Assist with configuring and supporting Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Conditional Access policies, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
- Support Microsoft Defender and assist with email security, security alerts, and security policy administration.
- Provide basic Microsoft Intune support, including device enrollment, compliance policies, and endpoint management.
- Assist with basic Microsoft Azure administration, including Virtual Machines (VMs), Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), and Azure Backup.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 and Azure-related incidents and service requests through ticketing systems.
- Perform routine administrative tasks such as password resets, license assignments, mailbox permissions, and user onboarding/offboarding.
- Follow established security procedures and MSP best practices when managing client environments.
- Document troubleshooting steps, technical solutions, and configuration changes.
- Escalate complex technical or security issues to senior engineers when required.
- Communicate professionally with clients and provide timely updates on support requests.
Required Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Familiarity with Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Defender.
- Understanding of identity and security concepts, including MFA, Conditional Access, and RBAC.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and cloud concepts.
- Familiarity with Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), and Azure Backup is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft 365 licensing and user administration.
- Ability to troubleshoot common Microsoft 365 and cloud-related issues.
- Strong communication, documentation, and customer service skills.
- Willingness to learn new Microsoft technologies and follow established technical procedures.
- Ability to work effectively within an MSP and ticket-based support environment.
