Position Overview:
We are looking for a reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented Kennel Lead to join our team! This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and animal care while also supporting and guiding other staff members.
Responsibilities Include:
Leading by example on the floor and assisting in training new staff
Monitoring the wellbeing of all animals in our care
Ensuring all feeding and medication protocols are followed with 100% accuracy
Communicating effectively with the management team about any incidents or concerns
Assisting in group play and understanding dog behavior to maintain a safe environment
Managing daily cleaning routines and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the facility
Helping maintain the flow of dogs between rooms, playgroups, and feeding/med times
Keeping accurate notes and documentation as needed
Qualifications:
Previous experience working with animals in a kennel, daycare, or vet setting
Strong communication and organizational skills
Leadership ability and a team-focused attitude
Able to remain on your feet for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Experience administering medications is a plus
Comfortable with basic tech tools (tablets, Google Docs, etc.)
