Litigation Paralegal – Defense Litigation
Our client, a respected mid-sized law firm in New Orleans, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support its defense litigation team. This role is essential in case management, trial preparation, and legal support for attorneys.
Salary:
$70,000 to $80,000
Location:
New Orleans, LA
Responsibilities:
Organize and maintain case files, track deadlines, and manage legal documents.
Prepare and proofread correspondence, pleadings, and reports.
Assist with trial preparation, including document management and coordination.
Request and review medical records, draft discovery responses, and schedule depositions.
Utilize legal software for research, case management, and electronic filing in state and federal courts.
Qualifications
:
Minimum 5 years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in defense litigation.
Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and court filings.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, iManage, and eDiscovery platforms (Relativity preferred).
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Paralegal certification and associate degree preferred but not required.
