LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal with a strong background in defense work to join a dynamic law firm in Lake Mary, FL. The ideal candidate will have experience in product liability, toxic tort, premises liability, and related litigation defense practices. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a fast-paced team, assisting in all aspects of case management and litigation support.
Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys with all aspects of litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and post-trial phases.
Draft, file, and manage legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery, and subpoenas.
Coordinate and manage case files, ensuring that all deadlines are met and critical case milestones are tracked.
Assist with depositions, mediations, and trial preparation, including exhibits, witness lists, and trial notebooks.
Prepare discovery responses, motions, and legal memoranda.
Communicate with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel.
Research and analyze legal issues related to product liability, toxic tort, premises liability, and other related practice areas.
Manage case calendars and track important dates such as court hearings, depositions, and deadlines.
Qualifications:
4+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with a focus on defense in product liability, toxic tort, premises liability, or similar areas.
Strong knowledge of Florida civil procedure and the litigation process.
Proficient in legal research, document management, and e-filing systems.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.
Paralegal certification preferred, but not required.
