Position Summary
The Learning & Organization Effectiveness Consultant will assess, design, and/or conduct training and development programs to improve individual and organizational performance. This position, under general supervision, provides professional and organizational development services to include team development, change management, and leadership development.
Essential Functions
Develop, deliver, and evaluate online and traditional training using research, subject matter experts, or other sources to create effective original training programs customized to meet the specific needs of the organization.
Co-consult/Assist with departments to address identified performance problems and recommend, develop, and deliver appropriate learning solutions to organizational, group, and individual levels.
Assess the training needs of employees.
Evaluate and identify opportunities and methods to enhance e-learning and Learning Management System (LMS) programs and processes.
Strategically link organizational goals and objectives to appropriate learning interventions to promote greater organizational effectiveness.
Provide facilitation services to departments through the ability to effectively lead group discussions, such as focus groups and teams of employees.
Assist with marketing training programs through the organization to enhance employee awareness and participation.
70% workload will be focused on training and development, curriculum design, etc. 30% will be focused on assisting with consultative engagements.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of two years’ experience related to adult education in developing curricula, presentation skills, coaching, data analysis, and management
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Training, Organizational Development, Education, Human Services, Sociology, Psychology, or Business or related field.

Licenses and Certifications
May require a valid North Carolina or South Carolina Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications:
LOE/HR-related certifications (ex: DDI, MBTI, EQ, Korn Ferry Leadership Architect & 360,
PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/ SHRM-SCP, Coaching, Change Management, CLCP, ISD, etc.)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of
Principles, practices, methods and theories of training and employee programs.
Adult learning theories and of training and development principles, practices and methods.
E-learning and other technological solutions and the ability to effectively use these platforms to develop and deliver training.
Skills
Analytical research as demonstrated by the ability to collect, develop, assess and blend information and recommendations from a wide variety of sources.
Critical and creative thinking to assess and resolve problems or issues by gathering and assessing information, taking advice and using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations and/or laws.
Project management and organizational change to plan, prioritize, multi-task and independently execute projects/tasks with specific deadlines while maintaining flexibility.
Presentation software and other training tools and materials to create and deliver interesting and high-quality training programs.
Abilities

Communicate: Clearly conveying information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message.
Customer Focus: Ensuring that the customer perspective is a driving force behind business decisions and activities; crafting and implementing service practices that meet customers’ and own organization’s needs.
Present Formally: Presenting ideas effectively to individuals or groups when given time to prepare; delivering presentations suited to the characteristics and needs of the audience.
Computer Skills
Knowledge in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Cornerstone or similar learning management experience preferred.
Work Environment
Works in an office setting with moderate noise
