advocacy materials that support evidence-informed decision-making.
• Help position NKF as a trusted thought leader by responding to emerging health issues and contributing
evidence-based perspectives on topics affecting kidney health.
• Transform statistics into stories that people remember – using data, patient experiences, and community
impact to inspire policymakers, donors, partners, and the public.
• Build relationships and coalitions with government agencies, healthcare professionals, NGOs, academic
institutions, patient groups, corporate partners, and other stakeholders to advance shared advocacy goals.
• Represent NKF in engagements with the Ministry of Health, professional bodies, conferences, working
groups, and other external platforms.
• Develop meaningful opportunities for volunteers, patients, and community members to contribute to
advocacy initiatives and public campaigns.
• Monitor developments in health policy and identify opportunities where NKF can contribute its expertise
and evidence.
• Supervise and mentor a small advocacy team while helping build the function as it grows.

• Experience in advocacy, public policy, government relations, healthcare, community engagement, strategic
communications, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret research and data, identify key insights, and translate
them into persuasive policy and public-facing messages.
• Excellent writing skills, with experience producing policy briefs, consultation papers, submissions,
speeches, reports, or other strategic communications.
• A natural storyteller who enjoys turning complex information into messages that people understand and act
on.
• Comfortable engaging with stakeholders ranging from government officials and researchers to volunteers,
