Position: Marketing & E-commerce Administrator
DAATS is looking for an experienced, hands-on and results-driven Marketing & E-commerce Administrator to take ownership of our digital marketing, online marketplaces and e-commerce sales growth.
This is not a training position. We are looking for someone with practical experience who can work independently, take initiative and contribute to online sales growth from the start.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and grow the DAATS website, Takealot, Makro and other online marketplaces
• Create and maintain accurate product listings, descriptions, images and specifications
• Manage supplier pricing, selling prices, margins and product updates
• Maintain accurate Excel pricing and product catalogue sheets
• Monitor competitor pricing and recommend adjustments
• Manage Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, WhatsApp Business and Google Business Profile
• Create professional marketing material using Canva or similar tools
• Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns focused on generating enquiries and sales
• Respond promptly to online customer enquiries
• Follow up quotations and potential customers with the aim of converting enquiries into sales
• Monitor online sales, marketing and marketplace performance
• Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports
Minimum Requirements
• Matric
• 1–3 years of practical experience in e-commerce, digital marketing or a similar role
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with product pricing, margins and catalogue management
• Experience managing online product listings
• Strong digital marketing and social media knowledge
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong sales and customer follow-up skills

Experience with any of the following will be beneficial:
• Shopify
• Takealot Seller Portal
• Makro Marketplace Seller Portal
• Canva
• Meta Business Suite
• Google Analytics
• Sage Accounting or similar systems
Salary & Performance Growth
Starting Salary: R8,000 per month
Initial 3-month probation and performance assessment.
Possible increase to R10,000 per month after 3 months, subject to satisfactory performance and achievement of agreed KPIs.
Possible increase to R12,000 per month after 6 months, subject to strong measurable performance, online sales growth and achievement of agreed KPIs.
After 6 months, salary increases will not follow an automatic three-month cycle. Future salary reviews and increases will be determined by DAATS management based on performance, responsibilities, business growth and affordability.
