About the Role:
Michigan Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant tojoin our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing clinical assistance and support to nursing and medical staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide clinical assistance by taking vital signs, determining symptoms, and collecting specimens.
Assist patients with administrative tasks, such as preparing patient records and obtaining reports of diagnostic testing.
Maintain accurate andup-to-datepatient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulatory agency requirements.
Operate and monitor patient care equipment, set up instruments and supplies in examination rooms, and maintain a safe, clean, and neatwork environment.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, utilizing positive guest relations practices and demonstrating collegiality andrespect.
Requirements:
High school graduate
Current BLS certification through American Heart Association (AHA)
Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent combination ofeducationand experience
Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills
Ability to lift, position, push, and/or transfer patients, with moderate standing and walking required
Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a team setting
