Rio Grande Urology is currently looking for a Full-TimeFront Desk Receptionist to join our team!
Performs various clinical duties such as greeting, scheduling, and handling clerical, and organizational tasks.
Candidate should be detailed-oriented, teamwork driven, have a genuine desire to assist patients, and have EMR experience.
Tasks:
Collect patient and insurance payments and reconcile charges daily.
Process insurance information for the practice’s billing company in a timely manner.
Provide information to patients regarding unpaid balances.
File records in the appropriate sections of patient charts and keeps patient charts in the proper order.
Prepare patient charts in advance and file patient charts when complete.
Copy patient information and forward it to the requesting party after receiving appropriate consent to release medical records.
Maintain the confidentiality of files and records.
Maintain the organization and efficiency of the front office, including the office supply inventory.
Maintain patient confidentiality.
Perform other related duties as directed or assigned.
Qualifications :
Medical Assistant Diploma from an accredited vocational institution or community college preferred but not required.
Minimum of one year recent experience working in a medical facility as a medical receptionist and/or documented evidence of externship completed in a medical office.
