Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations in a fast-paced environment. This role is essential in ensuring smooth communication between patients and healthcare providers, as well as maintaining accurate health information management.
Duties
Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere at the front desk.
Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
Schedule appointments using medical scheduling software, including Meditech and Epic.
Maintain organized patient records and care plans, ensuring compliance with health information management standards.
Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries or directing calls to appropriate staff members.
Assist with billing inquiries and insurance verification processes.
Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining cleanliness of the reception area.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a front desk or receptionist role, preferably in a dental or medical office setting.
Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
Familiarity with medical terminology, including ICD-10 coding is preferred.
Proficiency in computer systems and software related to health information management.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment while maintaining professionalism.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
