Duties
Greet patients and visitors at the front desk, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
Perform insurance verification and ensure accurate patient information is documented.
Assist with scheduling appointments and managing the office calendar.
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, including ICD-9 coding when necessary.
Maintain organized patient records using eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health record systems.
Provide support for medical office management tasks as needed, including inventory management of supplies.
Respond to patient inquiries and provide information regarding services offered.
Skills
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
Experience working at the front desk in a medical office setting is preferred.
Knowledge of insurance verification processes and medical terminology.
Familiarity with ICD-9 coding and documentation review practices.
Proficiency in using computerized systems, particularly eClinicalWorks or similar software.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient records.
Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while maintaining professionalism at all times.
