Full Job Description

CLINICAL Excellent Attitude and Communication Skills Easily works with Administrators and Providers Guides patients in payments for sessions (Administer, document and enter charges for services as appropriate) Obtains prior authorizations and insurance verification as appropriate Completes tasks assigned in a timely manner Prepares initial steps for the patient appointment upon arrival Advises provider that the patient is ready to be seen Sets up and maintains treatment rooms, maintains adequate supplies Takes vital signs including blood pressure weight, height, reviews medical history Updates Manager on needed orders for maintaining clinical supplies Coordinate action plan with assigned provider if needed Prepares patient for treatment session Assists with calling patients to convey test results, follow ups or other telephone tasks Participates in daily huddles with providers as appropriate CUSTOMER SERVICE Maintain a professional, courteous, and positive manner with all contacts. TEAMWORK Work collaboratively in relationships with co-workers Participate in achieving common goals Share knowledge and expertise willingly Offer/lend assistance as needed. COMMUNICATION Convey information clearly in writing and verbally Listen with empathy Accept constructive criticism/feedback Respond to inquiries accurately and in a timely manner OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent required Must be a graduate of an accredited college or Medical Assistant program Must hold current CPR certification (contact your local fire department) Strong clinical skills Familiarity with clinical processes and procedures and medical terminology Able to perform vital signs, obtain pertinent health information including but not limited to pulse, respirations, blood pressure, height and weight (using electronic cuff & height measure) Able to participate in the medication reconciliation processes and related prescription management tasks including prior authorizations Knowledge and ability to perform specific procedures and tests appropriate to the clinical setting Strong customer service skills Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, TEAMS. Willing to work with MAC Computer. Previous experience with Practice Management and Electronic Health Record systems, a plus Able to maintain strictest confidentiality per HIPAA. Able to communicate with all levels of organization. Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work. Able to comprehend complex orders Strives in a responsibility paced environment and stays calm during stressful situations. Flexible and able to adapt to changing situations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 – $25.00 per hour
