Medical Receptionist/Benefit Coordinator (Full-Time) Jobs in San Jose, CA at Allergy and Asthma Associates

Busy Medical Practice seeking a highly motivated Medical Receptionist/Benefit coordinator. This is an in office full time position. Full time position offers medical, dental, and vision benefits, term life insurance, 401K, paid time off and paid Holidays after 90 days of hire. Minimum one year experience within a multi-physician medical practice required. Able to work on Wednesday evening and Saturday morning rotation.

Job Responsibilities:

Insurance benefit verification.

Obtaining Insurance authorization.

Greets patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner.

Answers telephone, properly and efficiently screens calls, and make appointments when necessary.

Checks in patients, verifies and updates necessary information in the medical record. Assists patients with ambulatory difficulties.

Maintains patient scheduler and follows office-scheduling policies.

Maintains files and records in a confidential manner.

Performs other duties as assigned by management or physician.

Knowledge/Skills/abilities:

Knowledge of insurance.

Must possess excellent customer service skills.

Strong computer skills (Microsoft office).

Good problem solving skills.

Excellent time management.

Strong attention to detail.

Must work quickly, accurately and independently.

Excellent verbal communication and written communication.

Self-starter, self-motivated and highly accountable.

Team Player.

Have a positive, friendly demeanor at all times and willingness to go above & beyond.

Professional, reliable and responsible.

Able to do insurance verification.

Knowledge of EPiC system is a plus.
