Job Description:

MEDIAL RECEPTIONIST/ASSISTANT – WEEKDAYS

COMPETITIVE PAY!

We are looking for an energetic person, with a good attitude, who loves their job and is willing to jump in and get to know patients and be a part of a private internal medicine practice. Looking for support staff member who has worked in office/clinical setting or someone who can be quickly trained.

Duties:

Perform administrative and clinical tasks to support healthcare professionals in a outpatient clinical setting.

Assist with patient intake, including taking vital signs, recording medical history, and preparing patients for examinations.

Provide basic life support and emergency care as needed.

Perform basic medical procedures such as swabs, point of care tests, EKGs and if needed administering injections, and collecting and handling specimens.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.

Assist with medical billing and coding processes.

Provide excellent patient service and ensure a comfortable and safe environment for patients.

Other Duties:

Making appointment, patient communication, follow up on patients with phone/email.

Appointment confirmation/insurance verification/eligibility, pre-authorizations, patient recalls.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and basic healthcare practices.

Proficiency in performing medical administrative support tasks.

Ability to accurately measure vital signs and interpret results.

Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and other staff members.

Requirements:

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification is required.

Previous experience working in a clinical setting is preferred.

Basic life support (BLS) certification is required.

Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent organizational skills to maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
