What are you accountable for?
- Perform configuration, and troubleshooting of network equipment (e.g., base stations, routers, switches, transmission systems) at various sites.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance checks and inspections on network infrastructure.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot network faults and outages, including identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Respond to and resolve network incidents and alarms within defined service level agreements (SLAs).
- Collaborate with network planning, operations, and support teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Prepare and maintain accurate site documentation, network diagrams, and equipment inventory records.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies during field operations.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide support outside of regular business hours as required.
What do you need to have for the role?
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in network field operations within the telecommunications industry, preferably with mobile network operators.
- Proven experience with cellular technologies (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G), including RAN and transmission systems.
- Familiarity with various network equipment vendors (e.g., Ericsson, Huawei, Nokia).
- Proficiency in using network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within assigned operational areas.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, PMP, CIDB, TM NIOSH) are a plus.
