Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Nonprofit Administrative Assistant for a mission-driven nonprofit organization advancing professional equity and corporate responsibility. This is an on-site part time temporary opportunity based in Washington, DC.

Position Overview

This Nonprofit Administrative Assistant role is a highly visible, hands-on position supporting executive leadership and day-to-day office operations within a collaborative nonprofit environment. This individual will serve as a trusted administrative partner to senior leadership while helping ensure smooth organizational operations, communication flow, and office coordination. The ideal candidate is proactive, polished, highly organized, and comfortable balancing executive support with general operational and administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to executive leadership, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and scheduling
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, expense reporting, and executive logistics
  • Serve as a professional point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
  • Support office operations including supplies, mail distribution, vendor coordination, and overall office organization
  • Assist with preparing documents, presentations, reports, and meeting materials
  • Maintain organized filing systems and support document management processes

Qualifications

  • Prior experience supporting executive leadership, ideally within a nonprofit, mission-driven, or professional services environment
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and SharePoint is required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a polished and professional presence
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong discretion, professionalism, and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially

Compensation And Benefits

This position offers compensation of $26.00 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with Fridays off. This is a temporary contract opportunity with potential for extension based on organizational needs.
