We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Off Site / On Site Patient Data Entry Clerk to join our team and help us provide exceptional care to our patients.
As an Off Site / On Site Patient Data Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently entering patient data into our electronic health records system. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Key Responsibilities:
Enter patient information accurately and timely into the electronic health records system
Verify the accuracy of patient information and resolve any discrepancies
Review and edit information to ensure completeness and accuracy
Maintain patient confidentiality by following HIPAA guidelines
Communicate effectively with team members and healthcare providers to clarify information or obtain additional information
Perform quality checks to ensure data entry accuracy and completeness
Keep track of and report any data entry errors
Collaborate with the IT team to troubleshoot any system or data entry issues
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience in data entry and/or medical record-keeping
Knowledge of medical terminology and coding preferred
Proficient in using electronic health records systems
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Working Conditions:
The Off Site / On Site Patient Data Entry Clerk may work in a traditional office setting or remotely from their own home office. This position may require some travel to collect information from healthcare providers or attend training or meetings. The work schedule may vary depending on business needs, and some evening or weekend work may be required. This is a full-time position with potential for overtime hours during peak times.
