Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive office assistant to become an integral part of our growing team. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced remodeling and construction office where no two days are the same. The successful candidate will keep the office running smoothly by managing administrative tasks, supporting the owners, coordinating daily operations, and ensuring excellent customer service.
Our office is busy, dynamic, and sometimes chaotic – in the best way. Our office is a 2-person administrative team led by owner/lead designer supported by office administrator/assistant. Together we accomplish a great deal in a short amount of time, so we’re looking for someone who can adapt quickly, stay organized under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks, take initiative without taking constant direction.
Responsibilities:
Daily Operations: Overseeing office activities, managing office supplies, showroom samples, and schedules.
Communication: Answering phone calls, sorting mail, and responding to emails.
Record Keeping: Updating databases, managing customer and vendor files, and handling basic bookkeeping.
Strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Basic understanding of accounting
Knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
Minimum 2 years office based experience
