Strategically located in the United Centre, the HKUST Business School Central is an integral part of the School’s outreach efforts. It provides students with a unique opportunity to actively partake in the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong’s world-famous financial hub. With fully equipped classrooms, meeting rooms and a lounge area, the facilities are also available to external organizations for business functions like press conference, board meeting, training and seminar.
Duties
The appointee will work at downtown center in Admiralty. Duties include:
- Providing customer service to internal and external users, handling enquiries by phone, email and in person in a timely manner
- Assisting in the operation and logistics of events held at the centre
- Managing and maintaining the online booking system and facilities
- Setting up function rooms and ensuring proper operation of facilities
- Handling general administrative work
- Preparing reports and processing payments from users
- Assisting supervisors in business development, marketing and other assigned duties
- Working on shift, including weekends and public holidays when required
Requirements
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree with 1 to 2 years of work experience. Applicants who have an Associate Degree with relevant experiences are also welcome to apply. Candidates with less experience may be considered for the position of Assistant Officer. The ideal candidate should have a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Hands-on experience in MS office applications, Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator will be an advantage. The appointee should be independent, pleasant, customer-oriented, proactive and outgoing. Previous working experience in hotels or conference centers is preferable. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
