The Operation Coordinator at PT JTT Logistics Indonesia is responsible for coordinating and managing end-to-end import and export shipments across ocean and air freight, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and efficient cargo movement while meeting customer requirements and company objectives. The role works closely with customers, overseas agents, shipping lines, airlines, customs brokers, trucking providers, and internal departments to ensure smooth operational execution, accurate documentation, and compliance with international trade regulations.
In addition to operational responsibilities, the Operation Coordinator supports quotation preparation, vendor sourcing, freight rate negotiation, and market analysis to provide competitive logistics solutions and contribute to the Company’s operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and business growth.
Role Description
- Prepare accurate and competitive quotations for air and sea freight shipments.
- Coordinate import and export shipments from booking through final delivery.
- Liaise with customers, overseas agents, shipping lines, airlines, customs brokers, and trucking providers to ensure smooth operations.
- Prepare and review shipping documents, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and international trade requirements.
- Source and negotiate competitive freight rates with logistics partners and carriers.
- Monitor shipment progress, identify operational issues, and implement timely solutions.
- Keep up to date with freight market trends and provide pricing insights to support business decisions.
- Maintain accurate operational records and prepare shipment, cost, and performance reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Trade, Transportation, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as export/import operations coordinator/supervisor in freight forwarding, customs clearance, or international logistics.
- Have PPJK License (preferrable).
- Good knowledge of import procedures, customs clearance, shipping documentation, INCOTERMS, and Indonesian import regulations.
- Experience coordinating with overseas agents, shipping lines, customs brokers, trucking companies, and warehouse providers.
- Good communication, coordination, and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and logistics management systems.
- Good command of English and Bahasa Indonesia, both written and spoken. Mandarin Chinese proficiency is preferred.
