Job Summary
The Operations Host is responsible for managing Guest movement and operational flow throughout the view to ensure a safe, organized and seamless experience from arrival to departure. Working under the guidance of the Operations Supervisor, the role supports daily operations through queue management, batching coordination, loading and unloading assistance, and exit flow control and monitoring. As a key frontline position, the Operations Host maintains operational discipline, safety compliance and efficient Guest circulation across assigned areas. This role contributes directly to delivering a controlled, safe and well-managed Guest journey while supporting smooth attraction operations at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Guest flow, queue organization and batching operations across assigned levels to ensure controlled movement and compliance with capacity limits. Operate ticketing counters and self-service kiosks in accordance with established SOPs, ensuring accurate ticket processing, validation and transaction handling.
- Receive, direct and assist Guests during elevator loading and unloading while providing clear instructions to maintain safe and orderly transitions between areas.
- Monitor operational areas including outdoor terraces, glass capsules and implementing safety controls during inclement weather in accordance with SOPs.
- Manage Guest flow within designated premium experience zones and high-density operational areas, ensuring safe boarding, rotation and departure coordination.
- Provide operational assistance to Guests by answering enquiries, explaining digital wayfinding tools and directing movement throughout the attraction.
- Support exit operations including batching for departure, Guest flow control and farewell engagement while reporting hazards or operational concerns promptly. Conduct opening and closing checks as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Minimum SPM or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum one year of experience in face-to-face customer service, guest service or frontline operations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to engage with guests from different backgrounds.
- Customer-focused, service-oriented and able to create a welcoming and professional guest experience.
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn ticketing, kiosk, scanning and admission systems.
- Able to follow SOPs, safety requirements and operational instructions accurately.
- Good situational awareness and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Able to handle guest enquiries, minor complaints and unexpected operational situations appropriately.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-visibility attraction environment.
- Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, public holidays and peak operational periods.
- Comfortable with prolonged standing, walking, active guest interaction and rotation across different workstations.
- Dependable, presentable and committed to maintaining strong grooming and service standards.
Nice to Have
- Diploma in Hospitality, Tourism, Business, Customer Service or a related field.
- Previous experience in hospitality, tourism, tourist attractions, hotels, airport lounges, airlines, entertainment venues or other high-volume guest environments.
- Experience using POS, ticketing, admission, kiosk or scanning systems.
- Experience handling payments, ticket validation or customer transactions.
- Experience providing VIP, premium-customer or personalised guest services.
- Experience managing queues, visitor flow or access-control points.
- Ability to communicate in multiple languages.
- First Aid or basic safety-awareness certification.
