About The Opportunity

We are a truly global business working with curated suppliers and 3PL warehousing partners worldwide. We are looking for an experienced Operations Assistant, based in South Africa, on a contractor basis to play a pivotal role in managing the data integrity of our supply chain and logistics operations. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, 3PLs, and freight forwarders bringing structure, accuracy, and insight to a fast-moving global operation.

Please note: This role is open to South Africa-based candidates only. This is a contractor position so the successful candidate will be responsible for their own tax and statutory obligations under South African law.

Key Responsibilities

Intake & Inbound Management

  • Monitor inbound shipments and report discrepancies, liaising with suppliers and 3PLs to identify root causes and drive resolution
  • Create and reconcile ASNs (Advanced Shipping Notices) following booking-in completion
  • Identify operational trends through accurate, timely reporting and proactively suggest improvements based on findings

Administration & Invoice Control

  • Perform three-way matching of supplier invoices, purchase orders, and packing lists. Challenge inaccuracies where required
  • Process and submit invoices to finance teams in a timely and accurate manner
  • Maintain and update business-critical trackers, flagging changes and irregularities to relevant stakeholders promptly

Reporting & Analysis

  • Deliver consistent daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to support smooth business operations
  • Provide data-driven insights and actionable recommendations to the wider business

What We're Looking For

Experience & Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Business Administration, Finance, Logistics, Operations, or a related field
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in supply chain, logistics, or finance administration
  • Experience within the apparel industry is a strong advantage

Skills

  • Solid understanding of 3PL operations and global logistics
  • Proficiency in both Google Workspace and Microsoft Office suites
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear and confident communicator across internal and external stakeholders
