We are looking for Oracle Database Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise Oracle database environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and tune Oracle databases to ensure performance, availability, and security.
- Manage and maintain Oracle Data Guard environments, including standby databases, failover, and switchover operations.
- Perform Oracle 9i/10g/11g cluster installation, administration, and failover management (5–6 years’ hands-on experience required).
- Implement and support active-passive clustering technologies to ensure high availability.
- Design and execute backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and OS-level backup methods.
- Manage database operations across SUN Sparc, IBM AIX, and HP-UX platforms.
- Troubleshoot database issues, perform patch upgrades, and ensure data integrity.
- Coordinate with application teams, developers, and infrastructure teams on database-related projects.
- Maintain documentation for database configurations, procedures, and recovery plans.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 12+ years of overall experience in Oracle database administration.
- Strong hands-on experience managing Oracle Data Guard environments.
- 5–6 years of experience in Oracle 9i/10g/11g cluster installation, administration, and failover.
- Solid experience with active-passive clustering technologies.
- Good experience in backup and recovery using RMAN and OS-level methods.
- Experience managing databases on SUN Sparc, IBM AIX, and HP-UX platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle performance tuning, troubleshooting, and security best practices.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Oracle certifications (OCP, OCM).
- Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, and OEM.
- Shell scripting for automation.
