Order Entry Clerk

Gallopade has an Order Entry Clerk Position at its Headquarters office. This position is responsible for entering, updating, and maintaining customer information, including orders received, shipping instructions, billing & customer contacts, and inputting and manipulating data into the company’s database system (Acumen) in a timely and accurate process. This position will serve as regular back-up support to the Operations Department, answering telephones, assisting external customers, and providing comprehensive information about available titles, licensing, and services. Daily tasks will include order entry in an incredibly detailed order entry process, customer service, clerical support, as needed to assist team members.

Essential Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for learning a variety of functions, serve as the backup for team members, and assist with primary customer service functions daily. The ability to multi-task, while still retaining accuracy in work, is necessary. Our order entry system is complex.

Entering processing customer orders and running reports in Company’s database system (Acumen) in a timely and accurate manner.
Update and edit spreadsheets in Excel, enter sales and customer data into Company’s software (HubSpot)
Identifying, correcting, and reporting customer order discrepancies.
Applying credit card payments or checks directly to invoices.
Answers and directs incoming calls.
Assist customers with questions, including product recommendations, shipping, and tracking status, assisting in downloading of eBooks, and future shipment dates.
Assist Operations Manager as needed.

Strong software and systems skills including Excel, Word, Macintosh, Google sheets (HubSpot a plus)
Experience with Amazon Vendors and Acumen book publishing software a plus
