Organizational Development & Effectiveness Manager Jobs in Saint Augustine, FL at Flagler College

Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), the Manager will partner closely with Human Resource’s Centers of Excellence (COEs), academic leadership, and administrative departments to deliver programs, services, experiences, and training that build institutional capability and readiness for change. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented, forward-thinking professional with the ability to create impactful programs and systems from the ground up while navigating complexity and ambiguity with strategic clarity.

Organizational Design & Institutional Effectiveness
Assess and redesign organizational structures to ensure alignment with institutional strategy, mission, and academic and operational priorities.
Lead organizational assessments and design initiatives that improve cross-functional collaboration, decision-making, and institutional agility.

Employee Experience, Talent Attraction & Retention
Develop strategies and programs that enhance the full employee experience—from recruitment and onboarding to development and retention.
Partner with Human Resources and institutional leaders to build a workplace culture that attracts, engages, and retains top talent in higher education.
Collaborate on employer branding and workforce planning initiatives that reflect institutional values and strategic goals.

Competency Development, Career Pathing & Assessment
Identify institutional and functional competencies that align with institutional needs and drive performance.
Implement competency-based frameworks for feedback, development, and performance assessments.
Design and deliver career pathing and talent mapping strategies to support internal mobility and long-term employee development.

Leadership Development & Talent Strategy
Design and lead institution-wide leadership development initiatives for faculty and staff at all levels.
Create succession planning, coaching, and mentoring programs that cultivate a pipeline of future campus leaders.
Provide consultation and facilitation to support team and leader effectiveness.
Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) and develop and deliver HR-led training initiatives that support staff development and institutional capability building.

Change Management & Strategic Transformation
Lead the design and implementation of change management strategies for large-scale initiatives and institutional transformation efforts.
Leverage expertise in enterprise and workforce structures (e.g., divisions departments, and jobs) to inform organizational planning, workforce design, and talent strategies.
Serve as a trusted advisor to campus leaders in managing organizational transitions and building resilience.

Strategic Partnership & Culture Building
Work in close partnership with the VP of HR and CHRO to develop integrated strategies across HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) that foster a cohesive, people-first institutional culture.
Align organizational development initiatives with strategic priorities that reflect a commitment to equity, excellence, and continuous learning.

Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
A minimum of five (5) years of progressive human resources experience, with at least three (3) years in a dedicated organizational development, talent management and effectiveness role, and/or related HR role.
A minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience managing and administering Talent Management and Learning Management System (LMS) modules within a Human Capital Management (HCM) system.

Preferred:
Master’s degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, or related field.
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR certification.
Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and assessing organization-wide development programs.
Demonstrated experience managing learning and development programs, including oversight of an LMS and successful implementation of training initiatives.
Strong working knowledge of enterprise and workforce structures including legal entities, business units, jobs, positions, departments, and locations.
Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence leaders at all levels to drive change and performance improvements.
Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.
