Company Description IPB Mengajar is a structural institution under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs within BEM KM IPB, focused on community service in the field of education, particularly primary education. It represents a student-led movement committed to improving access to quality learning for children in rural and underserved areas. IPB Mengajar was officially inaugurated on May 2, 2012, by H. Anies Rasyid Baswedan, Ph.D., the initiator of the Indonesia Mengajar movement. The inauguration coincided with the launch of “Pengajar Inspiratif I” during IDEA (IPB’s Dedication for Education), a National Education Day celebration. The organization continues to collaborate with various stakeholders to strengthen educational outreach and community empowerment.
Role Description The Owner role at IPB Mengajar is a full-time, on-site position based in Bogor Regency. The Owner is responsible for providing strategic direction, overseeing program planning and implementation, and ensuring that all educational activities align with the institution’s mission and values. Daily tasks include coordinating with internal teams and external partners, managing operational and administrative processes, and monitoring program outcomes and impact in target communities. The Owner will supervise budgeting and resource allocation, support fundraising and partnership development, and maintain compliance with relevant institutional and governmental guidelines. The role also involves mentoring team members, representing IPB Mengajar in official forums, and continuously identifying opportunities for innovation and growth in community-based education initiatives.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership and management abilities, including strategic planning, team coordination, and decision-making.
- Experience in education, community development, or social programs, with a strong interest in primary and rural education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders such as students, communities, and institutional partners.
- Proficiency in project and program management, including monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
- Solid organizational and administrative skills, including budgeting, resource allocation, and documentation.
- Ability to work on-site in Bogor Regency and dedicate full-time attention to operational and strategic responsibilities.
