Key Responsibilities
:
Legal Support & Documentation: Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and client correspondence.
Draft and file legal forms and letters.
Conduct legal research to support case preparation.
Maintain and organize client files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Administrative Support & Coordination: Manage attorney calendars and schedules, including meetings, hearings, and deadlines.
Answer phones, take messages, and manage client inquiries.
Coordinate client appointments and assist with client communications.
Organize office systems, including physical and electronic filing.
Compliance & Office Management: Ensure all documents are filed in accordance with legal and organizational standards.
Maintain up-to-date client and case records.
Handle day-to-day office correspondence, both internal and external.
Assist with office supply management and overall office organization.
Communication & Client Liaison: Maintain strong communication with clients, legal teams, and external agencies.
Address client inquiries and case status updates promptly.
Foster professional and effective relationships with all stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements :
Matric (Grade 12) + Relevant qualification in Paralegal Studies or a related field
2+ years experience in a paralegal or legal secretary role
Knowledge of legal terminology, legal research, and office management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
Professional demeanor with strong problem-solving skills
