Position Summary:
We’re seeking a Patient Services Representative to join our team in a dual role split between front desk duties and phone operator responsibilities. The ideal candidate is organized, friendly, professional, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare setting with strong multitasking and communication skills.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Greet and check in patients courteously and efficiently
Answer incoming phone calls, route messages, and schedule appointments
Verify insurance information and obtain authorizations
Assist providers with patient preparation and follow-up
Manage patient registration and intake paperwork
Respond to patient inquiries in person and over the phone
Maintain accurate records and support administrative tasks
Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure a seamless patient experience
Be a proactive team player—always ready to learn and help where needed
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting (preferred)
Familiarity with insurance verification and prior authorization processes (a plus)
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
Comfortable using medical office software and phone systems
Bonus: Experience with Athena Health Systems (EMR)
